HUES is a one man music project that fuses electronic music production, DJing, jazz, and the DIY and political ethos of punk music.
The world is regressing and starting to accept repressive ideals that we had once collectively decided weren’t worth holding onto. Part of this movement includes an attack on the arts, and artists. HUES writes songs that help him organize his thoughts on the state of the world and where he sees it going. Pushing back against the idea that people don’t have power and that all we can do is sit back and watch those sitting in positions of power run roughshod over the spirit of collaboration, expression, and individualism, the music is creative and evocative.
HUES is finding creative ways to create, perform, and market music in an industry that is increasingly hostile to new artists and designed to extract money from musicians who feel like they don’t have a say in the matter if they want to succeed. While not pretending to be a leader in the space, HUES is trying to be an example of an alternative way of working as a musical artist.
